The undefeated Tennessee Volunteers came into the 1999 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl to face the Florida State Seminoles looking for their first National Championship in nearly five decades and a measure of respect. The Vols came away with both as they beat the favored Seminoles 23-16 to win the school's first National Championship since 1951.
